If you’re a Sacramento-area high school student interested in learning about the art of filmmaking, sign up for the DOC SCHOOL. Over 200 students have graduated from the DOC SCHOOL and made films on topics ranging from the the battle for your drivers license, teen pregnancy, the food bank, life in Folsom Prison, and many more.

Registration for this Spring’s DOC SCHOOL is now open. Over ten weeks this Spring, you will create a 3-to-5 minute documentary about a topic of your choice and at the end of the class premiere your film on the big screen at the DOC SCHOOL FILM FESTIVAL!

Here is an award-winning Doc School film, He Said She Said. It was awarded Best Picture at the Spring 2010 Doc School Film Festival and done by four Mira Loma High School students and one McClatchy High School student. All of the students were first time filmmakers!
